La Pedrera is one of the two great buildings designed by Antoni Gaudi on Passeig de Gracia, the other being Casa Batlló.
La Pedrera or Casa Milà has various theories have been advanced as to the source of Gaudí's inspiration: from ocean waves to a variety of specific mountains, even a mountain crest with clouds. Situated in Passeig de Gracia 92. The Pedrera which means "The Quarry" because of its stone like appearance, was originally called Casa Milà. In 1984, UNESCO classified Casa Milà as a World Heritage site. Today, Casa Milà is used for cultural expositions.
Casa Batlló: Casa Batlló, is a building restored by Antoni Gaudí and Josep Maria Jujol, built in the year 1877 and remodelled in the years 1905–1907; located at 43, Passeig de Gràcia. It forms part of the island of buildings known as the "manzana de la discordia"
