Auditorium
Modern concert hall-building of 42,000 m2, designed by the Spanish architect Rafael Moneo. It is located near the square "Plaça de les Glories", that brings together the three main streets of the city (Diagonal, Gran Via and Meridiana).
The building combines contemporary architecture with a very attractive concert hall. It also has a multipurpose hall with 400 seats.
Teatre Nacional de Catalunya
The National Theatre of Catalonia was created to offer high-quality theatre on national and international level.
Listed are all kinds of plays with special emphasis on works in Catalan.
The building was designed by the Catalan architect Ricardo Bofill and has a surface of 20,000 m2. The roof rests on 26 pillars in Greek style, each one of 12 meters high. The glass facade allows people on the street to have a look inside.
Torre Agbar
Situated on "Plaça de les Glories," it is the highest building in Barcelona, with 30 floors and a height of 145 meters. It was designed by the French architect Jean Nouvel.
Its special feature is based on the idea of two cylinders resting one on another, which creates a special effect depending on the daylight or nighttime illumination. In addition, the thousands of glass windows are asymmetrically distributed, so not one single one is the same.
